Set Free in the Spirit
Romans 8:1-17
- In our sinful flesh, we walk in death because we cannot keep God’s law. In the work of the Spirit, we walk in life because we have been set free.
(vs. 1-4) - Setting your mind on the things of the flesh is hostile to God and leads to death. Setting your mind on the things of the Spirit pleases God and leads to life.
(vs. 5-8) - Through the indwelling of the Spirit, you belong to God and have his resurrection life in your dying body.
(vs. 9-13) - The Spirit assures us that we are God’s children, calling him Father, and awaiting our inheritance.
