According to God’s great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
– I PETER 1:3, ESV

The seeds of Living Hope were planted in the fall of 2006 when our founding pastor, Tim Dance,  met a family in Southern York County with a vision for a new church in the community. Tim was serving in ministry with a church in Elkton, Maryland but soon felt called to gather a core group to begin a new work.  Living-Hope-Church-Stacked

In June of 2007, about a dozen families gathered for their first worship service at the YMCA. While the Y started out as just a temporary place to meet, the partnership quickly became a long-term approach to reaching the community for Christ.

Over the years the church has grown and added ministries, leaders, and support staff. Matt Kozma, our current Associate Pastor, came on to the team in 2014 to oversee youth and discipleship. The church is shepherded by a team of elders who work closely with our deacons to lead the church.

In 2017, we joined the Acts 29 Network so that we could partner with Gospel-centered churches across the world and see churches planted. Then, in 2020, after years of dreaming, we moved into our new worship center, solidifying our partnership with the YMCA for years to come.

By God’s grace, Living Hope will continue to grow and move forward in his purposes.
