Church Planting Resident
Our Church Planting Residency is a 18-24 month program which will host, train, and invest in a young pastor, so that he might be equipped to raise up leaders, plant a church, and make disciples. We officially introduced Ed Mejia as our first Church Planting Resident in January 2021. Watch our service on YouTube as Ed and his wife, Maggie, share their heart for church planting.
Ed was born in Honduras and raised in Brooklyn NYC. He currently lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife Maggie, and their three children Joseph, Elijah, and Olivia. Ed and Maggie have been married since 2010. Ed served in worship ministry for over 17 years and in Youth and Young Adult ministry for 5 years. In 2018 he was ordained and served as an Associate Pastor at In the Light Ministries in the downtown area of Lancaster City. While serving there, he graduated with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College. Maggie graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in Communications. While in college, Maggie founded She Matters University. A digital company that helps women and entrepreneurs learn, grow, and heal in order to live more fruitful, productive, and emotionally healthy lives. Together, Ed and Maggie felt the call to plant a church in 2019. They desired to get trained and equipped for the work ahead so they connected with local pastors who are a part of the Acts 29 network. Ed and Maggie have a desire to plant a gospel-centered, Spirit-filled, missional, church-planting church that will be a safe place for people to explore and experience life in Christ Jesus.
